His play calling is a huge part of it imo. I remember Jerry calling him out on it once. Last year we had the lead going into the 4th quarter and he was calling conservative plays like 3 runs that would go for a 3 and out. And we didn't have a very huge lead either which is why we lost.
He also thinks passing 3 times on the 2 yard line is a good idea.
its not his fault, if i were coaching i wouldnt wanna let romo throw with any type of lead in the 4th either cause you know theres a decent chance he goes full tard
That's how it ended up. Hey, neither team went to the playoffs, but at least they stomped the cowgirls. Also want to point out the "dream team" had a lower cap number than the Cowboys (and Giants, but that's another story). Jerry Jones knows how to pay them though .

Romo had his best season last year in my opinion. He had us in position multiple times to win the game. He drove down the field against the Patriots but Tom did the same with 2 minutes left. When Garrett iced our kicker. The next week, when Coughlin did the same....Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Yeah, Romo had a pretty good season... the defense (particularly the secondary) killed the Cowboys
Ok ok, no more Panthers talk. I know they are going to the superbowl this season but lets get back to the Cowboys. Wouldn't want Captain Crunch to delete the thread. He said he was cool with it, we just have to stay on topic.

remember the nfc championship when weatherford saved a pretty ****ty snap to allow tynes to hit that fg, on a soaked field? yeah, apparently our punter has better hands than romo. that probably stings
remember when garret iced his own kicker and showed that his kicker was weak, and then the giants did the same thing next week since they knew it would work and those 2 plays kept the cowboys out of the playoffs this year?
Because were so close to being a super bowl contender but it's always small, stupid things that costs us games. Our kicker was iced twice....once by our coach. Romo gave away the game vs Detroit. Romo led the team to score and take the lead with 2 minutes them Brady did the same thing. Romo made some poor decisions in the jets game but our punt team gave up a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown. We were in contention to win in the 4th in all of those games except Detroit.
This year, we actually will be contenders. Someone quote me later in the year.
