'Cocker project

I'm working on a high flow mod for my cocker so here is the plan of attack and steps up to completion.
1. High Flow Valve
2. High Flow air feed port into the bolt
3. High flow banjo
4. Anything else I can think of that may help effeciency
Project budget:<$150 hopefully
Cost run down so far:
File- 1.99 - 20*/. Discount
Valve tool - Free (home made)
Strap Wrench $5 - 20*/. Discount
Vice Grips -$3 - employee discount
Total for part 1: $10

The original valve :

Step 1. Materials for the valve

Vice grips, valve tool, strap wrench, file, towel

Step 2. Remove the valve and valve oring and use the strap wrench rubber to hold the valve. I used the strap wrench rubber since I only paid like 3 bucks for it but you can use a towel, leather, etc

Step 3. Go nuts with the file on the valve. Careful not to go too far so you don't hit the oring groove. Only file about 1/3 to 1/2 down

Step 4. Clean all the shavings off, reinstall the oring and lubricate with your favorite lube (I prefer DOW 55) and reinstall the valve

This is crucial, if you try this you absolutely must make sure there are NO shavings left behind. They will get hung o and shred orings and scratch the **** out of anything

It looks a little violent but I made it pretty after this pic was taken

The only suggestion I have for you is to go out and buy something like this to clean up your cuts and filings. I know it isn't a Dremel, but it is something to start with, and it will get the job done on a budget.

I have an actual dremel, I just don't have attachments for it right now, hence the file. But like I said I cleaned it up after the pic was taken

there isnt much point making the port this big, as the body will restrict the flow to the bolt anyway.
