timing

do you have to time a pump? if so how to you do it?

timing mainly had to do with the pneumatics in the front block. putting the pump kit on there eliminates that issue (one of the reasons I love cocker pumps)

If you have a/t, you need to time it via the hammer lug. You want the gun to fire right as the back block/sled is almost touching the body.

you can also "time" when the bolt clears the breach to drop a ball and when the sear engages through out the pump stroke.

you can put an AT on any pump kit as long as you get the corresponding AT for your frame and have your pump arm drilled for AT
