first time cocker build

hey guys new to the site(been lurking, new "officially" now) not new to the sport. been playing off and on for 12 years or so.

anyway...I am attempting my first cocker build. more of an upgrade/customization really. just wanting to have some experts look over my plans and see if I got anything to screwed up.

starting with a trilogy sport. looking at adding:

tech t shaft kit
Jack hammer 2
Trinity LP nut
qevs x2
ANS ram
ANS valve

already have a boomstick on it and an adjustable drop forward(needed one and all the shop had that I liked)

also in the future will be doing the feedneck mod and plan on doing a halfblock when these parts come in. will be coating everything in a dust black/orange combo in powder coat(unless I change my mind before then)

I have just a few questions about the halfblock. I have a guy at work that will do all the mill work so no worries there, my main concern is finding the sled and other parts. I haven't been able to get a hold of white wolf are they still around? I feel pretty confident we could do the hammer mod, and the bolt is pretty simple I believe as well. although I don't have any measurements for where to cut/drill etc. I think I have some info on building the sled, I saw one that was made out of plastic that looked very functional. anybody make these parts or better yet have some to sell or prints to make them?

I guess I have rambled on long enough. thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide.

No it is an 11/16" valve and at the moment there is nothing worth the price to change the stock one. The one thing they got right was that valve.

Hey it looks like your looking at putting together some pretty nice parts. Given that have you considered perhaps changing the body your using? The trilogies I don't think are the best looking or nicest bodies out there and you might be able to pick up a good looking body for pretty cheap.

just working with what I have available. may get a nicer body and use this one as a pump or something...my body at work can mimic the halfblock parts I got now I'm sure and we can probably build the pump kit and just use all the pnues on the cooler body when I can afford it....may even eblade it

What do you mean two ports? There should be a male thread (that screws into the ram) and a barb that you attatch the lp tubing to.

QEV's are a waste of time and money on a mech BTW.

If he bought Palmers QEVs then he's got the male thread and two female threaded ports. 1 for the barb and the other for exhaust, but they're both threaded.
If I'm not mistaken the longer of the two is the input and the shorter is the exhaust, correct?

heres the link to them
http://www.ansgear.com/ANS_Cocker_QE...scockerqev.htm

a closer shot of them at home

male thread in the center and females on either end...it looks like I could take the barb off screw it in an end and then screw this in it's place but I don't know what the other threaded part is for?

I know they aren't as useful on a mech but I am building this with plans of upping to electro in the future and they were a decent price so why not?

Oh, Okay I have only seen those online. I did not know they were threaded like that.

Most parts like that (clippard being a great example) are used in industry for other things. One end was an input and the other end had a silencer on it. So that could explain why both sides are threaded.

They should put a flow arrow on them.

Correct. Those are pneumadyne QEV's (rebranded). Looks like the price on them went up.... . I remember using these 8 or so years ago on my electro and my mech (they were only $20 for five in bulk back then). They made little difference on my mech other than cool little visible puffs of air when it was cold out.

ok one more question. I'm gonna try and get in to the machine shop today and start cutting. One quick question on the hammer. Got the measurments for milling the groove in it, just wondered if it is supposed to cut over the allen screw or not?

Yes, centered with the allen screw and over the top side (hex side).

Also, why do you want to powder coat this gun? Anodizing is the way to go on these, powder will change all of your tolerances.
