You're that lazy?
You're going to spend a good amount of bucks just for that. I mean it's your money, but that seems like a waste.
Also their has to be a tiny bit of space you can fit a bike and trainer in your garage.

Going down a hill today as fast as I can; in the drops, out of the saddle. My chain slips and my right foot comes out of the toe clip as I hit a deep puddle. I don't know how I managed to ride through it.
I've checked my lockring and cog, both are on there hella tight. Chain tension is good. My only idea for the slipping is that the cog is too small and I'm generating enough torque that it's starting to skip?
any better ideas?

Is your cog a smaller pitch than your chain? Maybe the teeth are worn down?
Professional track sprinters use 13T cogs and generate more torque without skipping their chains.
How is your chainline? is it straight?
Also if the wheel was a little loose in the dropouts it could have rolled forward a bit.

Everything's relatively new and in good condition. Chain and cog are both 1/8"

Just curious why were you out of the saddle?
Also could you take a picture of the rear cog and crankset?

Now I remember why I don't do group rides. Two guys (out of ten) went down HARD today with one of them cracking their brand new Cannondale Supersix frame as well as destroying their wheels (ZIPP 101s if I remember correct).
I think I am going back to solo rides........

my bike polo crew went riding on some local mtb trails today. So much fun. I'm getting more confident on that bike everytime. Trails were starting to feel nice and flowy.

the one guy that destroyed his bike has 2 cracked ribs and road rash while the other guy has road rash and possibly a broken collar bone.
I'm fat enough to be my own group.

well, one day slobalt started eating and just couldn't stop. Now he is fat. RIP, skinny slobalt.
Though I bet you could sand your bike and cut holes in components to save some weight, fatty

I just eat the other hunger games.
A guy thought it would be smart to hope off the road then to go over a crack in the road which made the guy behind him death grip his brakes. Stupidity...what else causes crashes?

similar story happened to a few of the guys on our team back on MLK day. During our annual MLK Century, at mile 80, they came upon a bridge with a small bump in the road. What's the best way to cross the bump? Surely not to just ride over it... Bunny hopping it is definitely a better idea! Well, problem was when he landed he completely shattered the rear seat stay, causing his bike to go all over the place and wiped out a second rider. Both guys ended up breaking a collar bone

So I've gone and played polo a few times since I last posted. I ****ing love it and am hopefully going to some fleamarkets to look for a decent polo bike tomorrow. I also managed to score 4 ski poles for free the other day, so hopefully I'm set when it comes to mallets for the season.
On the other hand, I did manage to basically destroy my rear wheel yesterday.

That will happen in polo. I started playing on my old italian frame i converted to singlespeed. Broke spokes every game. Then i said **** it and went to a cheap mountain bike with vbrakes from craigslist. Then i went to another mountain bike that actually fit. And finally i landed on my current bike which is a scrambler frame w/ bruiser fork and the works. It's my baby. pic to follow momentarily, because i can.
