Of course I have an arsenal of different set ups, rigs and techniques i'm using to target different fish. When I start catching, and they don't they'll claim I gave them a "bad rod" and that i'm using the "good rod" then i'll tell them to use whatever they want that I have out there, and i'll use what I gave them. Usually, I'll end up catching a bunch on the same light spinning outfit I gave them, and they will birds nest the crap out of my conventionals the first time they try to cast it.
I think its all about luck. I've been out before with a friend fishing for shad and I managed to catch 5 and he caught 0, we were both using the same lure just different colors, we switched lure to see if anything would change and got nothing afterwards. Came back the next day and both of us wrecked house.
And screw conventional reels. I cant cast those worth a damn.
Was hoping to go out tomorrow morning right at sunrise but its supposed to rain so ill just have to wait until monday. O well, give me time to adjust my kayak more and I cant drink tonight without fearing a hangover while fishing.
