UPDATE: According to Dark Hunter, these kits work with IR3's as well!!!
Kits are ready to ship!!!
Installation: Remove backplate, battery tube endcap, grip frame, and the REAR solenoid cover screw.
Remove battery with switch and connector in one piece. Cut the neg. and pos. wire at the BATTERY.
Connect the the new hardware using the two included crimp splices, black to black, red to red.
Feed switch and wires back into the gun followed by the Delrin positive terminal/spacer pressing the spacer
down the battery tube of the marker until it stops. Using the included sandpaper, remove the anodizing
from the outer diameter of the battery tube end plug (the plain side, not the threads). Using a hammer and
1/2" socket, tap the spring cap onto the battery endcap. Using a small metal pick ( or anything adequate for the purpose)
slightly scratch the threading in the marker where the rear screw for the solenoid cover threads.
Reinstall the solenoid cover screw. Slip the grounding spring over the protruding portion of the rear
solenoid cover screw. Reassemble the rest of your marker. When loading CR123 batteries into your marker,
THE POSITIVE END GOES IN FIRST..... Screw on the battery tube endcap and you should be set.
IF YOUR MARKER DOES NOT TURN ON, either the batteries were loaded incorrectly or you need to remove more anodizing
where the battery the endcap threads into the gun or where the rear solenoid cover screw screws into the gun.
These two points MUST ground or the marker will not work. It is not difficult, but is something that must be done right.
I'll post pictures soon... Of course, any questions asked here will be answered or you can call me directly and I'll
be more than happy to assist....
I'll be accepting paypal or money order.
Anyone ready to purchase should PM me their
Email address so I can send them a paypal invoice
(or make other arrangements).....
I just ordered material to produce about 20 of these kits and should be ready to start shipping them sometime next week or so. Gauging interest right now, so if you think you'd like a kit, (your battery is bad or your just preparing for the inevitable) post here and send me a PM!!
I'm not expecting much demand (at all) due to the extremely esoteric nature of the product (and thus the small run of 20 units), but still trying to get a feel for the demand nevertheless... Price will be $25 shipped...
These will be VERY well made and are just stupid simple to install. They use a machined aluminum adapter with a terminal spring that presses onto the battery tube endcap and a machined delrin spacer/positive terminal that presses into the battery tube. Zero soldering required...
Short story of install so you get the picture:
Cut wires at the battery and use the two included crimp slices to connect to the new hardware, tap the grounding adapter onto the battery tube endcap, push the delrin postitive terminal into place in the battery tube, reassemle your marker and you're done. Shouldn't take any half way competent person more than 15 minutes...
The only kit I have in the works right now is for the LCD as it is the only marker I have in my possesion. And with that being said, I don't know if this kit would work with any other marker because of the possibility of different dimensions. If there is sufficient interest in this kit and someone would be willing to send me a marker (LED,IR3,etc..) for prototype purposes then we could see more development, but as I said, I'm not expecting much demand... We'll see I geuss...
Pics will be up when the run is complete.... THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!!!!!
p.s. Constructive feedback and thoughts are greatly appreciated!!
