ermmmm there are multiple people with b8 S4's who got them in the mid-high 12's stock.

Best stock on AZ was 12.832

so where are the "multiple people" and i see no mid 12.

if the fastest one on a whole website is 12.8 with only a trap of 107 it isnt even in the same league as an m5. google shows me 12.2 @ 117-118 for them but im sure someone on a forum has gone quicker.

I'm not saying they are faster than M5s... or even in the same league. Just saying, they aren't 13.7 slow. Also when I said "mid-high," I meant 12.7-12.9, Wasn't sure of the exact numbers then I went to the thread.

I really don't care how fast it runs the 1/4 or how fast the M5 ran the 1/4. I never drag raced the M5 and will probably never drag race the audi. If drag numbers were that important to me, I would have bought the GT500. I'm much more concered with how comfortable the car is, how easy it is to live with on a daily basis, and how it feels on the highway. Not just how fast it is, but how it feels at the given speed. M5 was rock solid as fast as I ever went in it. It was always eager to do more and gave you tons of confidence. GT500 is faster than both cars, but less reassuring at speed. IMO the Audi is in between somewhere. Doesn't feel quite as good as the M5, mostly because it has more body roll than the M5. Plus doesn't have the raw power of the M5, so it starts to feel like it's running out of gas at certain speeds while the M5 was still pulling like a freight train daring you to leave your foot in it.

what im saying is the trap times tell the story. the audi can go 12's bc its awd and stick. so when u said you dont care about drag racing and just want it to feel fast its gonna feel like a mid 13 sec car. where as the m5 is gonna feel like a low 12 sec car.


like you said, get them on the highway and the m5 is gonna roll out bus lengths ahead.

**** i just looked at a 2010 base model lancer. I have been hustling in the BST on here so I am a pretty good bargin hunter. I think I am going to take it off their hands for only 17,000$ and the think only has 20k miles on it! score!!!!!

Any plans to mod this Pete , exhaust , tune , suspension ect

I'll do some stuff eventually. Not right away though, need to recover from the initial purchase. I want wheels and will probably do intake and exhaust too. Still undecided on the tune and coilovers. That would be the absolute farthest I go.

Damn you missed out, for ~$30k you could have picked up one hell of a hatchback and smoked some fools.

There was a sprint blue for sale, but had 40k miles. Would rather take the grey and 17K miles. Some day maybe I will buy a new car and have my pick of color, but until then I only have access to what's available around here.
