If the Broncos win out, does Tebow earn MVP consideration?
Its been a pretty widely discussed topic on the radio around here lately. At 7-1 since taking over, 5 4th quarter/OT wins, etc., does he warrant consideration for MVP? I still believe Rodgers is the runaway favorite for this award, but if the Broncos win out, and Tebow finishes the season 10-1 as the starter, does he earn at least the runner up for MVP? Obviously Rodgers is having a season for the ages, and needs 4 TDs a game in the last 3 to break Bradys record, but what if, Rodgers is rested, the Packers end up @ 14-2. While they'll still have a better record then Denver, does Tebows 1 less loss earn him consideration for MVP if Rodgers falls short of Bradys record and the Pack drop 2 games?

He won't win the award. But it wouldn't surprise me if he was in the discussion. IF, and that's a strong if, he does win out then I think he should be in the discussion along with Rodgers and Brees.

no. the defense is totally stepping up tremendously compared to before. aaron rogers should get it if he keeps it up. aaron has been way more crucial on the field. 4th quarter comebacks are good and all, but every team would rather outscore teams by 20+ game in and game out.

You mean the same defense that was giving up 25+ points a game with Orton under center?
Rodgers is MVP IMO, unless you can give it to a guy who didnt play all year and then it goes to Manning. But if the Broncos win out, and they end up in the playoffs, Tebow has to get some consideration.

that proves my point exactly. they stepped up as well.
oh he definitely gets consideration. he rallied his team to what they are now (7-1 motha****a!!), but rogers has simply been the most superior on the field.

peyton manning should be MVP without even playing one snap this year...from looking at every season he played up until this, it's pathetic on how badly the colts need him....
But in all honesty, screw tebow and all of his cult followers.. MVP goes to the best player in the league. aaron rodgers is by far the best this year. He is putting up numbers, currently 13-0 and coming off a super bowl year. All tebow can do is play football for the last 5 min of a game...with ****ty numbers

7-1 ****ty numbers? But I agree with every one here, Rogers is clearly the best player in the league, he deserves it.

7-1 doesnt sound too ****ty too me. Nor does having the best QBR in the 4th quarter and OT of any QB in the league.

best player doesn't necessarily mean most valuable. hence, this thread existing.

Right. Is it the guy with the best stats? The guy most important to his team? I think Rodgers fits both of those molds this year, which is why he'll win it, but its an interesting debate to have when you talk about it in terms of what you consider in an MVP.

worse than miserable.
If he didn't suck so ****ing hard for most of the game, they wouldn't need the "miracles" that make him look good at the end.
and honestly, I think Eli has been more impressive in the 4th quarter than Tebow, if for anything but the fact that it isn't HIS inadequacy that makes him turn it into high gear at the end of games. (also, Eli has the highest 4th quarter QB Rating) Oh did I mention Eli has already tied the NFL record for 4th quarter TD passes in a season?
