Range Control came up Monday post cleanup and "cleared" it after the very first walk-thru. Usually they'll nitpick some things that need more cleaning but they cleared the site after the first walk thru which makes future games at the site a bit more accessible in the future in regards to working with range control on permission. Camraderie at this event was fantastic and everything seemed like it ran just about as good as to be expected given that the heat was unlike anything I've ever experianced before while having a paintball mask on.

I've already got a couple of requirements for any potential future games and if those aren't met then I won't attempt to produce any more at this particular site. #1 No summer games and #2 No games unless it's on a holiday weekend with the following Monday being the observed holiday. The best turnouts to these events have always been on holiday weekends which are tougher to nail down with the Guard since it means that the Nat'l Guardsmen that work the event have to work on their holiday weekends.

James, it was a great event again! The heat left something to be desired, but was entirely expected. With the two requirements you posted, I'd love to see a President's Day 2013 (Monday, February 18, 2013) game if you can swing it. I know for sure we would make yet another trip down from Michigan if you did.

Great game.

Reffs did their job well.

We need more standup guys like James putting on games in the southeast.

At 100 plus keep your paint in your ice chest till needed.

This was my first scenario event and I had a blast. The heat was high and I had some issues with paint feeding in my rotor but that was expected going in. The only bad thing I could say was the base placement. I played on both red and blue teams and the far side base seemed to dominate. Next time maybe a 2 -3 air drops at the same time on top floors of building would have helped throw a monkey wrench into the field domination. Other than that everything was awesome. The refs did an awesome job and people held their tempers quite well considering the heat and all the bonus balls flying around. If you run another event and works permits Ill be there.

PS I had a blast telling my story about clearing the entire 3 story building with 1 of the girls from the blue team... She surprised me.

Great job clearing the 3 story, sorry to say that I took out the girl with friendly fire. You get old you don't see so well in the dark.

I think it would be more realistic if, instead of both teams starting from a base, the defending team started on the field occupying any buildings they like and the attacking team started in spots outside of or on top of buildings like they would if they came in on helos. The attacking team wouldn't have a base until they cleared a building and set up their HQ in it. If they lost their HQ they would have to helo drop more reinforcements.

I heard about the friendly fire but at least yall took control of the building. It would have sucked to lose it right after we cleared it. It was extremely dark in the basement. When we first went in I couldnt find the staircase and then I accidently shot the ground twice... I thought I let everyone in the building know we were there lol... I got a dirty look for that one... but it went pretty smooth once we finally made it to the first floor.
