Just came out of the hospital with the flu and needed 3 bags of Iv fluids. Was life threatening due to severe vomiting and diar****. Needed meds to stop the vomiting. Worst flu is going around right now. Flu shot wasn't helpful either. FML.

I've ate over 50lbs of white rice since buying the rice cooker, and I still enjoy eating the rice plain.

The Flu vaccine protects against strains of influenza. From your description it sounds like you had a norovirus. Which is a common virus associated with extreme vomiting.

i had the same issue with rice too
i have some suggestions if you want to give them a try
- take your time, for some reason when i try to eat it fast, it always kills my stomach
- the amount plays a big role too, i was eating 1 cup dry (2 cups cooked) for my post workout carbs. now id rather eat 1 cooked cup and use some other carbs as to not hurt my stomach
- try a different brand of white rice
- try a different kind of rice
imho, rice is so cheap that id try as hard as possible to figure out a way to eat it without hurting my stomach before giving it up

Hoping that it is a temporary food allergy. Going to stay away from rice for a month and then try it again.
It's weird because I've ate 50lbs of it without issue. Tried a fresh 25lb bag and still have problems
Will try a different type of rice if I stii have problems after a month though.
Ate slow on Sunday and stomach still hurt for half the reps day, even tried adding more water to the rice.

I was just throwing out a number. I buy 25lb bags of Jasmine rice for $18, no idea what the actual cost per serving is.
I bought a 8cup rice cooker for $20, works fine for me. I think the brand was "Aroma". Probably the most cost effective item I bought since I started lifting.
