wtf? the online listed macros must be wrong - what do i do?
I would use the raw macros, because the water weight varies too much depending on how long they were cooked, what heat...

Looks like you were buying beef with the pink slime in it

OR beef prices increased overall because those that were buying pink slime (such as schools) have switched to 100% beef which is raising demand.

Not too mention the meat companies are probably trying to cut losses from the pink slime revenue they lost

The pink slime was nothing to worry about anyway. They subbed it for fat in some ground beef, so expect some stuff to get a little fattier now. But all it was was processed beef, pretty much like lunchmeat.

The only one grade of the beef where I work had it. Surprisingly it was the Angus chuck, our prepackaged ground beef didn't have it. Not even the 5lb rolls. So, at least in my area, I don't think it was as abundant as the media pretends it was.

Keto diet:

Unsweetened coconut milk is disgusting. 1g carb
Sweetneed coconut milk taste better. 5g carb.

On a 20-40g Max carb allowance per day. I'm getting my other carbs from asparagus, broccoli and peanuts. Can I save myself the pain of having to suppress my gag reflex every cup or will exceeding daily limits by 10-15g be detrimental and delay a ketosis?

What is the accepted method for determining caloric intake for weight loss, LBM or overall weight?

Track your macros for a couple days then reduce.

I do not have specifics (tracking macros starting today) but I weigh 220 with a LBM of 160 and have been eating around 1500 calories a day for the last 3 weeks without a change.

My suspicion is I might want to spike them up a little bit for a week and see what happens.

1500 cals not losing weight at 220?

Either
1) You are counting your cals wrong (my money is on this)
2) You literally do not move out of bed all day
3) Genetics ****ed you

Chicken breasts, tuna, apples, celery, eggs. Some pasta and potatoes with dinners but all in moderation.

isnt it possible he is easily not eating enough to lose weight?

1500 cals a day plus any working out could burn anywhere from 100-800 cals

1500 cals eaten - 500 cals burned = 1000 calories a day, too low

1500cals are 1500cals regardless of quality. You could diet off twinkies if you wanted too.

The type of food he eats will affect body composition, but have little effect on actual weight lost

In other words, what food he chooses will affect LBM, no overall weight.

Exempting keto
