Hey guys im new to paintball and i just bought a etha yesterday new It shoots fine if im shooting it slow but if i get on the trigger the bolt isnt going threw a full cycle and it just jams up or something wat do u guys think this could be, the bolt or something else affecting it? Or does it just have to be broken in? I took the bolt out and re lubbed because it had alot of lube but it still seems to stick? wat do u guys think

problem solved alot less lube is the key i guess factory lube was way to much.

god damn it seemed to dry fire fine just took it out to try a few shots and it started doing the same thing again it will shoot 2 or 3 balls fine than the next ball wont shoot or it will hardly come out of the barrel. I was shooting with the eyes on obviously than i started getin a fast flashing purple light. its bull**** I shouldnt have to deal with this its a new gun pe already disapointing me..

as previously stated, there should be ZERO lube on the bolt. I would remove the engine again, clean everything off and relube per the instructions with the marker. If I remember correctly, neither of the silver parts need lube anywhere on them. Same goes for the bumper (looks like a flat black rubber washer) at the back of the bolt.

If your third or fourth shots "roll out of the barrel" it sounds more like a drop off issue, not a bolt stick issue.

Jack and a couple PE reps are on here all the time, I'm sure they'll be helping you sort this out soon.

happend to friend it due to lube being on the bumper dry firing is fine but when theres a ball in place it take a slight bit more effort to move the bolt..... once again clean the bolt and bumper and make sure the is no lube what so ever and the bolt or guide.

The bumper has to be dry, same with the bolt if they are not there will be some stick. Also you can put a tiny amount of lube on the bolt, but only a tiny amount.

It will shoot reballs, not super well if the balls are not well cleaned.

Hi,
We have had a couple of customers that have reported issues with Reballs. We have equally had a number of customers that have reported no issue with Reballs.
The fault you are describing does indeed sound like it could be caused by the Reballs.
I suggest first and foremost that you grab some paintballs and try those. I'm very confident that you won't have an issue shooting paintballs.
We are currently working on 2 different solutions to try and alleviate the problem that some people are having with Reballs. If you want to ensure that your gun is registered, and then send a seperate email to nick.t@planeteclipse.com explaining the situation and referenceing this thread, then we will make sure that you are in the program to help trial the new solutions for Reballs.
Cheers
Jack Wood

Maybe because its a paintball gun not a reball gun

sorry if i was hard to understand but i did try paintballs i relubed the reg and bolt and still getting the same problem. It gases up no prob no leaks gun turns on and everything. It seems like dry fire now works untill u get on the trigger than after about the fifth shot the bolt loses its power and doesnt go threw its full cycle like it isnt getting enough air or something. with paintballs the most shots i can get is 2 than it wont shoot and goes to a blinking purple light if i restart the gun sometimes it will shoot a few again or shoot one 2 feet than puple flashing light again please help me

First thing I would do is to take out the bolt, remove the rubber bolt tip, fit a new bolt tip out of the spares baggy, and try it again.

I used my Etha a month ago now and I put in a brand new battery. An hour in to the game the gun would fire a few single shots but if you tried to shoot a few off in one go it would splutter and not cycle. It would bring on the purple light. I tried another new battery and it sorted it.

A battery would be my first port of call.

Definitely sounds like a battery issue. Some fields keep a voltameter or however it's spelled to test out batteries and make sure they are in fact fresh and new. Even if you grabbed one off a shelf in a store, you should try a new one to be completely sure the Etha has enough power to cycle properly.

When you turning the etha, what colour is the pulsing light on the multicolour led display?

Don't know if this will help but I found that switching to the actual Reball branded paintballs helped me eliminate this mistake.

I originally bought the Rufus Dawg T2 Balls thinking that they will do fine and I found that they jammed a lot on the loader (I was using a Z2) and that it started spitting balls when feeding fine on the 4-5th shot just like the above problem. I then picked up the originally branded Reballs and this problem immediately faded away on my Etha.

Granted, I haven't tested the T2 balls on any other gun except my Etha.
