Nah I dont..
There was a tragic accident in Ohio today, 3 girls from my college died in a car accident. One was my ex-girlfriend who I dated in high school, and her brother was my roommate for 2 years in college.
My friends came down to drink/hangout and we ended up doing a shoot which helped me get my mind off things.

This isn't really a crit thread, it's what you shot recently, feedback isn't a requirement. If someone likes your stuff enough to post about it they'll let you know, same goes for if you're doing it wrong. If you don't get a reaction then it's not because we hate you.
As far as your most recent set goes, I don't really get anything out of it. I'm a guy that listens to indie rock and builds bicycles. The rap culture is pretty unappealing to me and I don't feel changed by the shots, just indifferent. There's nothing that really grabs me.
Technically speaking, your shadows and highlights are prominent. There's too much contrast in the car photos and not enough in the black&whites. My 2 cents.

Also, too many photos in one WDYS post. Makes it annoying to scroll to the new stuff.

Not digging that set. I think you've taken much better photos before.
That being said, demanding validation for being published doesn't produce respect.

you're a person with a camera who uses it to capture still images. some of those still images were picked up by a magazine, though I'm not entirely sure why; the quality of them is sub-par for editorial work so I assume it's the artist they're interested in most. as always, with more experience comes greater quality work... and experience takes a long time to gather. either way, congrats - use it as fuel for personal growth.

Erik said it right, I don't know who those people are and I don't care for em. The green car is cool, the Sprite matches it. But I don't really understand what you are trying to show with the photos or what is even going on. I am sure the people around in that shot are pumped and probably said something like "DAMN son thats the **** right there" when they saw the shots, and I mean thats good and all, but from a purely photographic standpoint they could be improved. I would have liked to see a bit more of a story line, more personality, more interesting ****. A bunch of dudes chilling in a green car is cool for a shot or two, but make a full set of that interesting is tough. Also the dark stuff is way too dark. That can work at certain times, but not when there are no real punchy highlights. Keep it up, congrats on being published, hope that leads to bigger and better things!

I used a fog machine to make the smoke, then composited in a stock image of fire

If XXL and Complex have already picked you up, then why do you need our reaffirmation?

More drama than a soap opera up in here.
I need to install some CS version so I can turn my 1x1 into this (just to give an idea of what I'm thinking about). I think the noise would be a problem though if I tried to extend out the borders. Edit: nevermind... It wouldn't be a problem me thinks.

This took me forever to get the lighting "correct" with the candles.

How I'd miss all the whiskey an' women.
I tried to be true, but it's all I can do,
