OMG, Unreal Tournament.

I lifelessly played UT04 and still do on occasion.

UT3 has pretty cool graphics IMO in a different sort of way. The game just wasn't quite the same as UT04.

And, as Bro said, it's nothing like CoD or BF or CSS. It's a whole different type of game that takes some getting used to

No, it's not supposed to be out but I don't exactly play by the rules.

And yes, it's Skyrim with guns. I had a ~9 hour session, didn't even realize I had been playing that long.

How taxing is far cry 3 on your gpu? I don't think my 680s will have an issue, I'm just curious if it's as taxing as they said it was going to be.

anyone else play warthunder? i just found out about it and it looks pretty cool, downloading now. it's f2p and looks similar to world of tanks/world of warplanes.

I got it from BG. I have an aging GTX 465 and I'm running maxed settings sans 4x AA. No issues getting 50+ FPS.

ok so i got a couple rounds in before i left for the bar earlier. it's pretty fun and worth the download. right now the only part of the game that's functional are the airplanes. the graphics look very, very nice on max. it plays pretty similar to world of warplanes if you've played that. there are three game modes, only 2 of which are active right now. arcade style (exactly like world of tanks) and 'historical battle' which imitates famous real world air battles (using only the appropriate planes). it includes more realistic aspects like running out of fuel or wings shearing off at high speeds. you can use mouse or joystick (i use the latter). upgrading individual components and researching entire new aircraft is exactly like world of tanks. the only thing i don't like about it so far is that it takes 3-7 minutes to find a game.

also what's strange is instead of taking a single aircraft into battle, you take all of your aircraft from a specific country. i'm using japan right now and i have three starter planes all with the same stats, and i can buy (with in game currency) additional crews and aircraft to take into battle. when one dies, i can spawn right into the others during the same match without issue. kind of a strange mechanic but its fun.

edit: there's also a cool landing mechanism. to cap various points on the maps you actually have to line up with the runway and land safely (not easy when people are shooting at you) to cap the point. you need to drop the landing gear and hit the breaks etc. so it feels a bit more like a sim in that aspect. also my matchmaking issues were fixed when i connected to the russian server (it has the most players).

planetside 2. end thread. this game is just amazing! now that I got my computer back up and running and all these new games I just dont have enough time to play them all. put 2 1/2 hrs into PS2 tonight and didnt even realize it. Put rest of my night into DayZ

Meh, Planetside 2 is good but without a group to run with it gets old fast unless you are mainly a pilot.

I think I'm going to pick it up soon too. Looks quite fun from the little gameplay I saw at a buddy's place this weekend.
