I got astro A30's because I can use them with my PS3, Xbox, and PC, they aren't huge and they sound better than your average " gaming headset" I like the idea of the Razers with the surround sound drivers, rather than simulated surround sound, but honestly if you don't have a sound card, a good set of stereo headphones will work just fine. I just plug my Astros into the headphone jack without the mix amp and have never felt I needed more for games.

edit: I like em and they have excellent reviews and so does the gamecom780's so atm I think I'm stuck between these two.

I was about to get them but most of the reviews on it said the mic sucks *** and people have trouble hearing you speak.

I'm thinking about getting a sound card with my next paycheck just so I can get a real nice headset and have amazing sound while playing bf3 n csgo

If you plan on getting a sound card I would go with the Tiamat.

Well, I know I was impressed with the quality of my other Razer headset (the one you can get in Bestbuy, but I got it online for $50) for the price. It had a little bit of sound bleed into mic at times, and didn't last but about 2 years of hardcore use, and they didn't get very loud, but they did a great job of putting all the sounds on the same level, making less quiet sounds, like footsteps or leaves rustling, easier to hear.

It's like playing CSS on godmode when you can basically hear around corners.

I only imagine the 7.1 is better.

Anyone here play Natural Selection 2, or used to play the Natural Selection Half Life mod? Just started playing the beta and it's pretty great.

I just got Sleeping Dogs, ME3, Darksiders 2, borderlands, Spec Ops: The Line, rage, and a few other games. I'm not sure what to start playing, but I'm pretty proud of my little collection I've got going

What else is a must have?

I have the Siberia v2 and I'm really liking it, the sound quality is significantly better than what I'm used to (I can actually figure out what direction enemies are shooting me from based on sound now). They're also extremely comfortable, I can wear them for hours at a time if I'm not wearing my glasses, though with glasses it's fairly uncomfortable.

6 hours into torchlight right now and this is by far the longest I've played any game with a story in years. I'm definitely getting torchlight 2 when it's out

If anybody in here has really been wanting to play Planetside 2 and hasn't got in yet, $40 will bribe your way in. As someone who has been playing it, I gotta say, I think it's probably worth it.

I have never tried the naga, but have tried the G700 and I agree with the poster above. It feels the best in the hand, in my opinion.

Do you only play MMOs?
because the Naga will only be good for that, but if you play other games like BF3, Counter-Strike, Call of Duty...you will get destroyed with that mouse.

I recommend (if you play first person shooter games also) to get a game pad, where you can program the macros
and still use a good mouse for both
