So for one day of paintball that's $80. For a serious player wanting to practice often it's extremely costly and that's after buying the gear needed. It's ridiculous and without a doubt drives away many, many players
Dont ***** about $60 cases. Wanna pay $160 instead? Didnt think so.

This purpose of this thread "What would you change about paintball?"

That's what he would change.
He, unlike you, is appropriately contributing to the thread.

Why must you be an *******? Absolutely uncalled for.

Coaching
As a snake player and overall lover of a "Fog of war" aspect. I think coaching ruins the games ability for surprise and interesting tactics. I don't think having someone on the side of the game screaming out the opposing teams positions is really a benefit to the game. People want to see cool exciting aspects of the sport and with coaching you just end up in a more stagnant style of play. I understand that a lot of other sports have coaching and it is overall beneficial to the game, but I feel as though this sport is better without it. I understand fans pointing out positions were a large reason coaches were brought in but nevertheless, I still don't like it.
Not to be an *******.
But there are leuages and formats for this wish. The biggest being NPPL.

I think it would be cool for psp to go back to xball format and not race-to. Also maybe lowering bps to 10. Possibly take coaching away?

Yes to the first for Champions/Challengers; most divisional teams simply can't afford the paint bill. No to the second, 10BPS is the definition of awful in paintball, 12.5 is just right. Yes to the third, even though you could never really do it without silencing any spectators as well, which is lame.

Not so much something I'd change, but I'd like to see some of the current trends with players going back to to pump/mech play, and being more cognizant of their influence on new players continue. I think we've helped ourselves by making efforts to bring back "true" recreational play that is challenging and fun for everyone.

No coaching or spectator participation. No idea how we could go about the latter, but it bothers me.

Go find a different sport to play if you can't afford to play this one and stop your crying.

Now something that I would like to change. I would say probably all the annoying little kids who complain about prices *cough* *cough* Keeter *cough*. It's not a cheap sport you should of done your dang research before playing. I would also change some of the rules such as no wiping or coaching. Not to mention you complaining of the price of markers over 1000...... just because you can't afford one and hate how everyone else has one, doesn't mean you should trash on them. Go play airsoft and leave paintball.
Are you serious man? So many player are serious about it, and they love it. But prices are way to high. For everything, sure they still sell gear but it drives many away because they can't afford it. I played on a team for a while and i can't anymore because money. I don't see why you have to be such a d**k to that guy, he has a point and he has a much better point of view than you..

My point being is he is complaning about markers being over 1000$,if you don't like the price then don't complain about it that simple. He could buy something cheaper if he doesn't like the price. Paint yes,it could be changed but that's how companies make money along with fields and pro shops. Markers though,I feel they are priced fine where they are at currently.

Cut ROF to 10 bps for anything but tournaments. Paint at $40/case is very reasonable. With a reduced ROF, less overshooting, and a case of paint lasts all day. You don't need a $200 hopper and a $1500 gun. A revy on an ion would do the trick. Save the high end equipment for tournaments. A local field actually restricts one game to non agitated hoppers. Try that on an ego and see how much you shoot.

Prices of paint is the only really complaint after reading this whole thread... I could go shoot a .22 for a day cheaper then I can my paintball marker. Once cases get to 25-40 we will see more partakers. Young kids can not afford 45-70 cases, most of the time mommy and daddy can't either/ don't want to because they know nothing about the sport.

Ramping is an equalizer and brings compition closer. Your fingers are what cause over shooting, not the mode, period

Marketing won't happen till we get affordability down.

Marker / gear prices are perfect.

Every sport has cheating, get over it.

No reason I should be able to buy .22 cal bullet for cheaper then I can get the same amount in paintballs. Its crazy.
