Lightbulb New Tourney feedback needed

Have been curious why there hasn't been 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 tourneys for novice players. It would be so easy to get players to fill a day up. Actually it wouldn't have to be regulated to novice it could grow to amature and pro as well. Your thoughts!

It's time consuming and boring to watch. Weaker players will be afraid to take on more experienced competitors.

There is always going to be the odd yawner but they're still on the clock. It's just another way to attract players into the tournament atmosphere for newer areas. In my opinion not all tournaments have to be the biggest event ever to be a success. I've played at some local tourneys where there's a full slate of say 10 teams and everyone had a great time. It's still about promoting and growing the sport of paintball. Thanks for your feedback.

You could make it interesting by using short time limits and a center flag. Force players to be aggressive and the experience will take on a whole new vibe.

i would get down on 1v1 but i also see the fact that is would be boring to most people when one guy stay behind the tall can while the other one is snapping with style and moving from the 50 yard line back to the 20 yard line.

As a new player who would like to break into tournament play I think a 1v1 or 2v2 would be a great way to do so. It would much less stressful or intimidating then being the new guy who messed the game up for his/her team.

I can see the "boring" view point for the 1 on 1 in some cases, especially with novice players. Some would just dig a hole and crawl in. However the 2 on 2 is a different thing again, so easy to get a buddy and play. Personally I like to do things that are different because sometimes things get stale. In the end if doing an event brings some new players to your field and the sport all the better. I'm leaning toward a 2 on 2 novice tournament and I'll think more on the 1 on 1. I'm going to bounce the idea off some of my renters as well. I'm sure the right prizes would help as well!
