Empire Battle Tested's new BT-4 Slice marker

Saw this on Facebook just now, BT's new BT-4 marker:

Apparently it's tool-less, here's a video of everybody's favorite limey Simon Stevens breaking it down and rebuilding it in less than a minute!

Released at the Extravaganza and should be available soon.

BT's version of the tippy.

The field I started playing at switched from 68s to BT-4's and it was slightly better for the renters.

I kind of see it being the opposite... there are a lot of BT guns out there that look like this one, but the FT-12 appears to fit the part of a rental gun a little better. It also seems less likely to be available to the public than the Slice, if I had to guess.

The tool-less is cool but you would probably have to put a lock on them if using for rentals.

Why? What in that gun is worth stealing?

Correct me if I am wrong but does BT stand for Ben Tippmann? Is it safe to assume relationship between Ben Tippmann and Dennis Tippmann?

i see you point, buy the fact that it retains that "traditional look, while offering the easy access hatch, players and the people that need to clean em at the end of the day.

I'm confused, what isn't easy access on the FT?

BT and Tippmann have never been really associated, and once BT was picked up by Empire, I'm not sure how much involvement Ben has had. BT now stands for Battle Tested.

I'd say it's not about stealing. But if someone were to pop the pin out in the field, a lot of parts could go missing.

Anything is possible though.

BT puts out a good product, this will be no different.

Hey, Tippmanns have been using pins for years, and I haven't heard of that being a problem yet.

I see the tippmann going as the rental version, and the BT being a choice for beginning players.

After all, the tippmann has a huge thing that says rental on the side..

Nice to see that this concept is going into the general consumer market and not just to field owners.

Tippmann released a gun at Extravaganza that does exactly this as well. Plus theirs is now macroless. The dissasembly also looked simpler.

Regardless, great product from BT.

Not theft in specific but to help prevent the possibility of lost parts or people tinkering with the marker.
