Warrior Dash
Anybody ever run in one of these 5ks? I have participated in the ones in PA twice now.
I think I go more for the beer and smoked turkey legs after the run. The obstacles break up the monotony of running. Overall i think it's a decent time
Anybody have a favorite part of these events? Dislike them with a passion?

I was thinking about going down to one in Charlotte next month but don't know if I'll have the extra cash. Looks like a good time though.

some kids were drinking 4 lokos before the one i was at last year. They ran the thing twice - dressed as a bunch of amish kids. Great costumes |

The experience levels varied dramatically from what I saw. The times ranged from mid 5 minute miles to a 40 minute mile. So I guess some people did walk.
I saw a some guys helping some girls over one obstacle (climbing over a submerged log). If you can run/jog 3 miles you would have no problem finishing at warrior dash. |

They're a good time, but I have a hard time justifying $80+ to run a 5K with some climbing/obstacles.

i don't think I'd pay $80 either. If you register when they first announce it used to be $45 to enter. Not sure if they have jacked up there prices since they have been getting more popular.
