Also if we are the only team that paid do we need to show up at the event because if we paid and no one else did that means we would win and I'm not driving 5 1/2 hours to play open play.

It's all semi, you'll have to chrono to what the field uses (probably around 280 fps), and check the NCPA site to see what you need to bring I believe it's some form of student identification like: student ID, transcripts, report card.
The NCPA site should be able to answer the question as to what you need to bring for proof of being a student.

Ok chris we really need an answer on what time this event starts? very disappointed with the lack of customer service from the NCPA. 3 emails and 2 voicemails over a period of 3 weeks and the only reply was an ad for animal paintball....

ROF is semi or up to 12.5 bps ramp, but I wouldn't advise ramp with the limited paint.
I was at Galveston last week (where we were doing non-stop 18-hour days just keeping the event going) and then when essentially directly to an event in Argentina. Joe should have cleared the voicemails yesterday, but we've got so much email etc right now I'm not surprised if we still have not replied to all of it.
