G6R Super D's Detents
Hey guys,
I was wondering if any have you have tried the Super D's detents for the G6R? They are made of aluminum and last longer than the standard delrin detents, but I am wondering if they alter the way the gun handles brittle paint.
Has anyone noticed anything in regards to the way the G6R handles brittle paint with the new detents? Does it increase bolt wear considerable?
Thanks in advance

Nope. They feed and handle the same. Just made of metal instead of delrin. You may see slightly quicker wear on your bolt in the detent area but thats about it. Also make sure to rotate the detent and put a very very light coat of grease. On it during maintenance. This helps it wear evenly.
Also, the stock delrin detents are excellent and last a very long time so if they are nt worn out yet, don't replace them. I imagine most users here are still on the original set.

Between heavy usage of reballs and the huge amount of time I get behind my gun, I go through stock detents every 6 months. That's why I am considering the Super D's

When you play multiple times a month and shoot two cases each time, they get worn a lil bit

If you are tearing through detents that fast it is definately a good investment. Reballs and dusty/ dirty conditions can definately increase wear. My first set of detents lasted around 30 cases and were still functioning fine when I replaced them. I do completely strip done the ram, bolt, eyes and detents every day of play though. I am prety confident that the Super Ds will last me several years as little as I get to play these days.

The hush bolt is made out of the same material the stock bolt it is it not? The wear will be the same.

I use them with a Hush bolt no issues. Hpwecer, no real need to replace them if they aree just "scraped up".
