Becoming A Mod

Is it possible to become a mod? I tried the "Contact Us" but haven't recieved a message back. I was just wondering if it were possible for me to become a mod and how I would do this.
Thank you for your time.
I hate how people don't leave feedback on here. So if you want feedback, you must leave feedback first.
Should you trust me? YES (Proof)

If you're asking here, it already means you don't do one thing that we need all mods to do: read and understand the rules before posting. This question is answered in the one sticky at the top of the Talk to Mods forum.

There’s more to being a mod than just staying out of trouble and being on PbNation all the time. We look for users who are already contributing members of the community. Our mods are helpful, knowledgeable and generally impartial.

If you want to be a mod, start by choosing a couple paintball forums and learn about them until you are a true expert, then help the newer members in that forum without being pushy or rude. There’s a lot of incorrect information out there and we need our mods to be right when they correct someone. If the forum is about paintball equipment, then you should learn the tech side of it, but if you are not tech savvy, there are other non-equipment forums that might be a better fit for you.

Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating. We are always on the lookout for users who would make good mods. We look for knowledgeable users who both understand and follow the rules, are helpful to other users and have been active on the site for a long period of time.

Please don't ask (this is a biggie) - Moderators are picked from the users by other moderators. Want to stick out so you are noticed by the mods? Make sure you posts are friendly, helpful and contribute to the site. Sure there are a lot of users but those that truly want to help the site grow stick out among all the other users.

Become an Annual Supporting Member - Although its not required it shows that you really do wish to help the site grow. All and all its just a good thing to do.

Put in your time - Mods are not picked from new users. It takes months or years of helpfull posting to get noticed among the 100's of thousands of registered users. So keep posting and make each count.

Keep your nose clean - Bans and numerous warnings will significantly decrease the chance of a user becoming a mod.

Know your stuff - New mods are picked based on how much they can help in a particular area. Again, keep posting on something that you know a lot about. Use the forum report features to help the forum mod see any bad posts in their forum. Don't type like an eleven-year-old, we want to see that you actually put care and thought into things.

Do your part as a user - Report posts that are inappropriate and create well thought out professional content for other members. Help develop the stickies in that forum.

You also have to learn the general rules for the site, read the stickies in other forums so you understand how PbNation operates.

There also may or may not be a gauntlet you have to get through, as well. Imagine a ring of fire, cartwheels and jumping jacks with hot coals.

And a pink bunny suit... that may or may not smell funny.

I'm not saying that stupidity should be punishable by death. But I do think we should remove all the warning labels and let the problem take care of itself.
