the tough mudder is a much more difficult race. i haven't ran that one yet - i think that is double the distance of warrior dash.
sad that young fella passed away. according to red frog precautions were taken but under such harsh conditions maybe they should have postponed the race as suggested by some people

at least you can be a spectator at warrior dash without paying. If you go to support someone at the tough mudder you still have to pay admission. correct me if i'm wrong

getting your body ready for running isn't too bad. usually the most sore after your first long run - but after that you get used to it. 2 weeks is plenty of time to get ready for a 5k, but a month or so would be better

Try the Ironman,
like 2 mile swim, 20 mile run, 150 mile bike.

I haven't done Warrior dash yet this year, but I will do it next year
I'm doing Hero Rush in April (Herorush.com)
And I'm really excited-It's a firefighter themed-5k obstacle race! how cool, right?

i didn't know there were so many 5k variations out there. First that I've heard of a firefighter themed one.
The Zombie 5k that I read about also looked pretty cool
