We'll be digging and pouring more concrete next week in the pole barn, now designated "The Clubhouse".
We'll also need to start on the fences, and stake out the netting - somehow leaving room for 2 greenhouses and the biodiesel building.
Truthfully, we don't expect any help out here until the bunkers and netting show up in about 3 weeks.
If anyone has knowledge or information about biodiesel, or a good reliable source for UCO, used cooking oil, I'd sure appreciate a PM.

I grew up on a farm. It wasn't a huge farm by any means, just under 13,000 acres. So maybe I should have said GIGANTIC backyard. =)

I grew up in a backyard, and now I like my tini-tiny farm.
BTW, it's just 8 1/2 minutes south of Blitz, and I'm sure that the teams that practice here in the near future are going to love the location - not to mention the view.

Thanks Doc. You know that means a lot coming from you, as it was you and I that walked the field when the idea was born late last season. I'd be surprised if you can't hear, see or just sense when the field is being used...it's so close. It's also worth noting that as to myself, instead of sponsoring a single team as I talked about last year, I've decided that this project will serve the Colorado paintball community much much better. More than a practice field, this will be a paintball training facility. .....with a clubhouse, sprung tumbling floor, pool table, scheduled weekday drills, weight room, indoor 1/2 court, running track and a whole lot of Colorado Pride Hope to see you out there soon. Bring a Juniper or some UCO!

I own a charley biggs fried chicken franchise you can have all of my used oil. Probably wont be all that you need but plenty to get you started. All I know is it costs a lot to convert my F 350 to run bio...something about changing every line that fuel goes through and it cuts down the h/p and torque so much that I have never looked into it.

With a business that uses that much oil.. I'm sure it's a pretty hefty amount!

We're planning to meet with teams and players in 2-3 weeks, and we'll start posting pics on that date, ok?

12. For every seven (7) days of free use of the practice field, each player will be requested to ref for one (1) day.

Field Update:
1. The architect has finished the plans, and we'll start the work next week.
2. We expect XCEL Energy to show up and run the electric out to the clubhouse any day now.
3. We'll be tearing, turning and adding 300yards of topsoil to the one acre of land on the north and west sides of the field. The plans call for the planting of 580 trees and shrubs (23 different species provided by the Colorado Forestry Service for about $1.25 each!). Now this is my style of farming - plant once and watch them grow for 20+ years!
4. The 12' netting will surround an area 210ft x 200ft. Nice and roomy with about one flat acre enclosed. No telephone poles out here, we'll be using a set of steel poles which have been ordered and should arrive in two weeks.
5. As soon as the land is tilled, we need to run a total of 1,620 feet of fence. Mostly split rail horse fence.
Anyway, lots of work to get this thing ready. Please PM me if you want to help or just need more information.
How 'bout 3 hours of tree planting or fence building for a case of paint?
How 'bout we pay your game fee at Blitz next weekend?
Any takers for next week? PM or call Me.

Ok, your off the hook for the Junipers. We gotta great deal from the CSFS.
But now we need some bales of hay - low quality stuff to be used as a sound/wind barrier. More important, we need labor next week to plant them there Juniper trees, and/or fence building help.
How 'bout three (3) cases of paint in exchange for good solid day of tree planting and/or fence building?
Only a serious paintball player would work for paint! Are you up to it?
