So i used this method last time i was at the field. Had my reg pressure at 150psi with boss V2 bolt. When the FPS stopped raising it was like dead on at 290, shots were +/-7ish? Most time +/-3-4 but every 4th shot or so was a little further off. Never lower then 182 i think or higher then 194, avg was 290. Any way i can get more consistency? I want +/- 2 or close

Was using a lapco tightstick 681 bore shooting valken graffiti

Raising dwell will give you better consistency but +/- 3-4 fps sounds good already. You want +/- 2, good luck finding perfect paint. I say be happy with what you have.

The +/- 3-4 is only in 2 or 3 group shots. In 5 group shots is jumps more, my dwell was at stock with this consistency and i drop it to like 4.25 with same results. My shots would be like 290, 293, 288, 294, 283. I cant get tighter then that? Cant remember exact numbers, but thats pretty close

I thought i read somewhere with stock bolt axe's get like +/-3 with 10shot groups. Is that incorrect or do aftermarket bolts just required more tuning to achieve same consistency?

I would consider switching back to stock but i hate kick. Dosnt it have more then the boss v2? Never shot the stock bolt, had boss when i bought it

Air has never been an issues, i only shoot a hopper and 4 pods every 2 points at most. So no worries there

Thanks for the write-up its a huge help, now if I could only get my gun to agree..
Randomly my axe started shooting crazy from 200-290fps yesterday, so it inspired me to try this setup. Its has probly 10 cases through it now and has worked amazing up until yesterday. I did the recommended setup (180 reg, 1.5 turns out on velocity, dwell at 20 blinks. And I can barely get any balls to leave the gun, let alone even make it to the barrel. Even if I go way up on the velocity adjuster to like 2.5 turns it doesnt affect anything? Its making me crazy now it just decided to stop working. Went through the whole gun cleaned and relubed all o-rings, including the poppet. Maybe I should grab a new poppet o-ring? Solenoid was cleaned and has the usual symptoms like taking 5 trigger pulls to even start clicking. Could the solenoid be the cause of all these problems? Thanks in advance for all the help, the forums have already been a lifesaver

Anyone tried these settings? I need some settings to just throw on the gun cause I'm not sure if ill have time to tune at tourney this weekend.

Got the smaller lurker oring closest to spacer as well as using the spring bumper.

Using 016 tank oring on outer spacer.

What? I have a sticky? Woah lol. You should be able to tune it at the tourney. IF you have a lurker start at 5MS dwell, 140 psi then chrono your gun with your back cap as high as it will go until it stops then lower your pressure or raise your pressure to get it to chrono where you want. You can fiddle with dwell if you want but if you're pressed for time 5MS should be good. Make sure everything including your poppet is nice and lubed.

Put your pressure at 200, turn your velocity adjuster all the way in and then back it out while chronoing until your FPS stops going up and stop, then lower pressure to get it below 300. Also put a couple drops of oil in your ASA

You mean continue to adjust your back cap until the velocity stops increasing? Then lower your pressure to chrono below 300 or whichever I prefer correct?

Thats easy when its broken down like that. And most people have been saying that the sweet spot is 1 1/2 turns out correct?

I should be very smooth with this since I will hopefully be able to lower my pressure significantly. Lowering the dwell only increases efficiency correct?

Yes. It's better to do it last or first but not in the middle because either you calibrate the dwell to the pressure and timing(back cap) or you calibrate the pressure and timing (back cap) to the dwell.
