Hey everyone,
I just got the Azodin KP, went out and it shot great, the only problem was the loudness. I was playin with another guy and he said he had no upgrades on it, but his shot quiet. Is there a trick to making it be quiet, cuz sumtimes it would barely make a sound, and his was quiet all the time. Please help, i've heard a new regulator helps, but idk

Yeah, Azodins are known for being loud. Are you sure he didnt have an aftermarket barrel on? Cause I know my freak is significantly quieter than my stock barrel.

mine is only loud when i use my stock barrel

i've got a CP 2 piece barrel on it, so idk, so wat reg is the best for it, and is there a certain way to pump it, cuz sumtimes it shoots and is reelee quiet, then the next time its like super loud

Many users have reported that it gets quieter as you break it in-- circa 2ish cases. Barrels and boring help-- my DW is much quieter than the stock

Replace the spring with a spyder spring and the regulator if you have the money.

definitely replace the spring that is the easiest way to get rid of the noise, but getting a longer barrel and a CP reg helped me alot.

make sure that your barrel has a tight bore (if ur not using stock) and make sure that your detents are on tight... and if that doesnt work change its internal spring... for me the tight bore does the job...

Keeping you hand on the pump makes it louder too, if you pump then put you hand on the reg it's quieter.

When he says louders.....well it substantial. Pump it quickly and take your hand off. Youll see a difference.

id personally recommend a hush bolt, not only does it quiet it down but the efficiency is crazy.

NOOO! Its because of the main spring. Just get a Maddman spring kit and replace it, it will be quiet AF! NOT THE BOLT OR BARREL PROBLEM. PLEASE READ THIS!

It's because of the lower tube.
The valve is low flowing with a simple design, which contributes to that. The springs add on to it.

Find yourself a 32* or Maddmann spring kit. Use the medium one in there as the valve spring, and the softest as the mainspring. Or I believe that's what the combo was supposed to be.

Then find a nice valve.
Maddmann, NDZ, and AKALMP all make phenomenal valves. The best of which I believe to be the AKALMP Tornado valve. Finding it used may be cheaper, just make sure it's a spyder or 11/16 valve.

just by doing that, you should see the gun shoot FAR smoother and MUCH quieter, and at the same time have a HUGE leap in FPS.
If you have a regulator, use that, if not, then use the velocity adjuster to readjust the marker to shoot at proper speed, then enjoy.

If you care to go any farther in upgrading, look for a nice regulator (Bob Long Torpedos are amazing, WAY better than a CP reg, will last longer, are more comfortable, and are much higher performance).

Then you can top it off with a nice single finger trigger frame, or adjust the travel of the trigger on your frame for a shorter pull.

Lastly, see what you can do for the feedneck and bolt.

Its better to keep your hand on the handle because it is faster for your next shot and keeps all the air going down the barrel.When you dont hold the handle forward the bolt slightly goes back and lets air escape up your hopper and etc. not just your barrel so you'll also see a slight velocity change(nothing major). Easiest way to fix the noise is a spring upgrade.

I heard they put regs in the new 2011 KPs so you wont get that "farting" sound anymore.

The reg on the 11 helps, but it doesn't eliminate the burp. My 11 still burped. The best thing to do is to get a spring kit and for like ~$12, it's not a bad deal.
