i can see why Nolan chose Bane for the final movie. i'm more excited to see how he wraps it all up.
but otherwise, i'm looking forward to The Hobbit.

Bane is super strong due the a venom that roids him out. He's also one of Batman's smartest villians. He figures out Bat's identity and releases a ton of people from Arkham, which exhausts Batman. Bane breaks into Wayne Manor and trashes the place, breaks Bruce's back and tosses him into the streets of Gotham, declaring the city to be his.
Bruce chooses Azrael to become Batman in his place. The new Batman choses to not have a Robin, reoutfits the batsuit with some badass gadgets and takes down Bane using more brutal tactics than Bruce would. That was Knightfall.
Of course Bane returns again numerous times sometimes as a pawn or on his own and is always a pain. No one has beaten Batman that badly, maybe with the exception of Hush, who cut one of Batman's lines while he was mid air, causing Batman to fall a long way down, hit the ground and paralyzes him so he needs brain surgery. Id say Bane did the most physical damage, but the Joker reigns king on emotional damage.
Btw Id love to see a live action version of Hush. He's basically the Anti-Bruce Wayne, just as smart and a brilliant fighter.
