First thing I noticed about your first video is how beautiful the sky and clouds are. Oh San Diego, how I miss you.
You're FOV comparison is very useful. I'm not going to try to use the medium setting as well in the future. As nice as the wide is when it comes to fov, it sometimes gets annoying. Thanks for the comparison.

I've been using the narrow a lot lately in my videos other than the wide, haven't tried the medium to be honest. Thanks for the comparison.

My local field is indoors and doesnt had the greatest lighting which makes the narrow setting noisy and grainy. I like being able to see where im shooting in my videos but I have to settle for medium or wide for good quality videos

before i bought the Hero 2 i watched a video on YT that said the same thing. however the video was taken in a room with poor lighting. maybe the noise and grainy-ness associated with narrow is due to bad lighting. the videos on pbstar's channel dont look grainy or noisy at all to me.

if you want to mount it on your barrel you'll need to buy the handle bar mount separately for $20. i also put some hockey tape where i mount it to prevent the camera from slipping on the smooth surface of the barrel.

I like that narrow fov. I think it really shows where your shots are hitting better.

is the roll bar mount different from the bike handle bar mount? It looks like the screws are smaller, and the neck of the mount (where the housing connects to) is a tad thinner, and that's what i'm looking for!! I have the bike handle bar mount and even though i mount it with the camera on top which is ok, i'd love to get the neck a little smaller so it doesn't get in my way when i'm aiming down the barrel.

yes the roll bar mount and handle bar mount are different.
roll bar (larger diameter)
http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/roll-bar-mount/
handle bar (smaller diameter, the one you want to use to mount to your barrel)

i noticed in one of my earlier posts i said to buy the roll bar mount, i corrected it and changed it to handle bar. thanks for pointing that out.

got any footage of it mounted right there? it looks like instead of looking at the back of your hopper when shooting if mounted on your head, youd be looking at the back of your gun or grip frame.

Lots of times. Matter of fact, first time out I took a direct shot to the lens. It's in the first camp Pendleton video at the end.
