Makes a difference where you are geographically, but for a BMW, more than most. Unless you have a good...er..cheap after market/wreckers selection.

yea, bmw parts a generally more expensive just about anywhere you go. maybe in germany it's different

yea that make sense, which I think is a good thing for me. I could probably get barely $2k for my car back up near Chicago, thinking I could get $5k+ for it down here in Austin. (i moved to Austin from Chicago area beg. of feburary if you didn't know)

white 1997 lincoln towncar, executive series. how i weep for her ,instead of the doing the master cylinder and a few lines, the boss said it would be better to just put her down. sold her to a local demo derby shop t_t

g2k, do they not have a car recycle program in IL?
Also in texas, they probably dont use as much( i say as much because how the hell am i to know if texas has snow or used roadsalt for something else, or maybe sea salt i dont know) road salt as they do in IL, so im thinking the cars down there are in alot better condition than the ones in the northern states, like rust wise

1999 5 speed passat(also white), just a fantastic car to drive, and she would just sip on the gas. Turbo was busted which made the drive more like an adventure on account of very poor acceleration. Little did I know 1999 automatic 5 speed passat had a transmission fault. Boosh she died one day. traded it to our the solivenian guy next door who has a shop where he only works on VWs, got a lathe outta the deal not bad i guess consiodering how much the car cost.

**** i dont even want any other car except for the ****ing 1997 lincoln towncar.

I should have ripped more **** out of the dash before it got sold

did an e test on one today, just beautiful, and they are in the test bracket where i only need an idle test. insta-pass emissions

yea, they don't really use salt at all down here, so that is one major thing. but even so, they just seem overall a lot higher down here from what I've seen.

getting my A/C fixed tomorrow. had a friend recommend me a guy who pretty much all he does is A/C work. Gonna cost $125 total, I guess he's got to replace one part on the A/C system and refill the Freon. I don't know jack about A/C systems, so I figure it's worth the $125 even if it is overpriced for what he's got to do. cheaper then me trying to do it myself and ****ing it up.

got it fixed today. all he did really was recharge it and replace a valve or something. but i'd be afraid if I recharged it myself I'd eff it up, $125 is worth it lol. really cool guy, just did it out in the parking lot of the place, and chatted with him as he did it. he even explained what he was doing n stuff. pretty awesome.

so I start my new job tomorrow. 20.67 million a year for a 26 year contract. not too shabby

so you guys seem pretty into cars here. maybe you can help.

whenever i turn my cabin fan on, there is an intermittent click about every 3 to 5 seconds. it occurs whether the a/c is on or off and both when i have it on full cold and full heat. turn the fan speed up or down does not affect the rate or volume of the click. i have no idea what it could be and its been occurring for a few weeks. i have googled it to no avail. any ideas?

well you could come to austin and I could send you to the A/C guy lol it's only like 2000 miles away for you

I don't know much about A/C / heating systems, so I can't really help ya there. Is the quality of A/C effected any?

I got my approval for financial aid so I could take classes this summer, that means I'll get to graduate in December instead of May 2013.

thats awesome! i had the chance to do the same, but i ended up choosing to do a co-op this semester and will still graduate in may 2013. saving the tuition money by graduating in 7 semesters feels so good. where you goin to school?

haha good luck

graduating is overrated I dropped outta college and am doing just fine. but i did get into my field of work before I graduated H/S so i kind of had a leg up. but i personally am pretty against college in general, but I won't go into that.

lol shun, i don't think all 10 addd up would even be a million, so you'd still have (pending 1 winner and lump sum) like $410,000,000 give or take depending on the tax amount lol

think i decided on an apartment. 2 bed, 1 bath, 850/month with an awesome view of the canyon/valley/thing. that way i have a room for friends to stay in when they visit, and my computer would go in there as well. then i'd have my bedroom with the bed with no electronics in it at all, which is what I was hopin' for. http://www.oakridge-apts.net/

also right down the road from the highway and only about a 10 minute drive to work, if that.
