Leaving Gun in Car During Winter, Bad Idea?

Will leaving my gun in the car during winter have any damaging effects to an electronic marker?

no it shouldnt. it will drain the battery faster and if its a spool valve gun such as a shocker or luxe you will have bad first shot drop off problems.

It could be unfriendly towards the seals, just because it sitting idly could cause them to dry up more quickly than if it were in a warmer or more humid environment. I would remove the battery and make sure you quickly lube it before the next time you go to play if you must leave it in the car.

In addition to what everyone has said they also tend to disappear out of cars.

I am not keeping it for long time storage, I will be using it multiple times a week, just keeping it in my car. Just didn't know if I should leave the csl out in the cold overnight.

why would you leave it in your car? is it really that hard to bring a 2 pound object no larger than a keyboard inside? even if it's somewhere like a college dorm where they don't necessarily allow them, so what? put it in a box. or take it apart some.

damn **** like this just makes no sense.

a csl? I wouldnt run the risk, I know people who leave gear in the car but the gun usually comes in, especially a csl. I wouldnt let one of those out of my sight.

I was at the local pro shop with my teammate, and people got in his car WHILE we were there, and took all of his gear.

Well its not just like one gun, but the csl would be the one I am most worried about messing up the board or electronics in it. I am not worried about them being stolen.

If someone can manage to break through a garage and break into my car that both have alarm systems and lift up the compartment in the hatch where I would keep the guns they deserve them.

I just have a ton of equipment, and I i practice 3 out of 7 days with people and work 40 hours a week it is more convenient to just leave it in the car already put together if I could.

I know I leave laptops in the car overnight in freezing temperature and take it out and power it up without it coming to room temp at work and it hasn't had any issues.

The CSL should be fine. If you have been doing it thus far without issue I wouldn't worry about it. Standard Buna-N O-rings are good down to -65 deg F.

I guess it really just depends on the exact address where you're parking the aforementioned, csl-containing car. Please send this address to me in a PM, and I can let you know if the weather will affect the gun's performance ... *shiftyeyes*

might aswell just bring it inside otherwise wrap it in something to help keep it from making the wires more fragile and other obvious reasons

Nevermind any environmental damage that can occur, i'd be more worried about what ThisWontHurt first mentioned - theft! I get nervous when my gear is in my sight, let alone out of my sight.

pm me your address and garage code so I can do some testing on the weather to make sure it's okay.

JK man, don't leave guns laying around, theft will occur man. Especially once people know the type of guns you have and the way you treat them.
