Paintballs not hitting what you are aiming at?

No you don't need a new barrel...

Or a different marker...

You probably have bad paint. We have been conditioned to believe "you get what you pay for" and we think that paintballs are the same way.

But, paintballs are THE MOST IMPORTANT thing we buy as they directly affect our accuracy. And if you love a certain brand, that doesn't mean that it will be the same every time you go into the store to buy it!

You MUST check your paint before you buy!

link for mobile users

The paint that player was using was between $39.99 a case, and $49.99 a case... I was using super cheap $25 a case infinity...

Clearly my paint was much better than his paint, but the only way you know you are getting GOOD paint is to LOOK at each bag before you buy.

Friends don't let friends buy dimpled paint. (unless they are on the OTHER team... lol).

Good thread with a good point.

Do not be afraid to open boxes up at the store to check your paint. You'll more than likely see boxes opened up when you get there.

I was told by a Sports Authority employee that their paint is bought back if it's opened and there are dimpled/broken balls inside.

The other thing to consider is if your buying paint from a big box store, like this video said, It may just be old as hell. It takes a lot longer to move these boxes through the big stores. My local field gets a fresh skid every week and that helps. Just because its expensive and curves doesnt mean its a bad paintball, just means it may be old. I agree, check boxes and bags and if possible, know where you are buying from.
