That was a neat touch.
To most of the audience it just sounded like normal military/csi tech babble.
To any gun person it was invisible flying car stuff.
I think they were using special types of bullets according to what came out of Bond's shoulder/chest? So maybe... just maybe it was possible? Probably not though... lol
Obviously saw it last night, it was good and maybe even almost great, but not amazing by any means.
I considered that after the movie but still the shackling that links train cars is immense, I dont think any pistol round ever made would get through most parts of them
edit:
yeah not happening

Because we all watch James Bond movies for their realism...
fair enough
I get caught up nit picking sometimes, its just felt like skyfall strayed a little too far from the grounded realism that was established well (imo) in the first two daniel craig bond movies
still loved it though and am probably going to see it again, because social life

I'd be disappointed if they weren't throwing in some crazy gadget **** now that Q is in the mix. That's always been a Bond staple. And while I too enjoy the Bond that is more grounded in realism, I like seeing crazy pen grenades and watch lasers and exploding whores.

I totally agree with this! Bond always has some new high tech gadget that is suppose to help him out in a sticky situation. I hated hearing Q in this film say that, "what did you expect, a pen grenade? We've went away from those things" Honestly Bond should have gotten some sweet gadget
Has anyone touched on the fact they never brought up the group Mr Greene was talking to at the play that Bond dropped in on? They were obviously an international "evil" group plotting to take over the world through resources.

For me at least I thought it wasn't needed. It would have been cool to see but the lack of gadgets totally fit the theme of the movie for me at least. I saw this as challenging the typical spy and gadgets theme and showing its the people not the tech that matters. Im not sure how to spoiler tag anything so that is all I will go into.
I didn't like the villain that much to be honest. While being a great actor and doing a good job he felt way too much like the joker to me. Also he didn't have the lasting impression of say oddjob or goldfinger. Hopefully they use him as a lead in to bring back SPECTRA. Just thinking outloud here

i guess I did get my gadget fix in at the end of the movie. they had the old school bond vehicle fully loaded with ejection seat and machine guns in the headlights. bad guys swarm the house and bond gets out of there by mowing them all down. sitll would have been cool for Q to give bond a gadget.
Meh, I could do without the gadgets all together, but I'm not really a huge Bond fan. I really like Daniel Craig's Bond and this being the "Bondiest" of his movies wasn't really a good thing in my opinion. That being said, this being the 50th Anniversary, I thought all the Bondisms appropriate, and as long as they keep the series somewhat grounded, I think I'll continue to like them. Also, I'm gonna miss Judy Dench as M, but I think Raiph Fines is gonna be great.
I didnt like the movie at all. Bond always saves the planet,(or just England) from satellites, spaceships, nuclear bombs, mass distraction, or very well organized terrorists etc. In casino Royale, it was all about 100 millions, and in Skyfall about protecting an ald woman (whichever she was) from a very- very pissed off man. NOT A BIG DEAL TO GET BOND IN ACTION. The movie started well, i liked Craig but the last Bonds Scenarios sucks. If it was the transporter 5, it would be a nice action film. Not Bond
