Dunno. It might. Everything is going to be thrown off this year one way or another. Especially with lots of farmers harvesting/salvaging early. (for those deer dependent on fields) The long dry season will throw off their habits too.

I have been seeing bucks running with entire families for weeks now. Like, they get along like family. Mom, Dad and the kids.

really?? that is strange, I know they have some kind of survival code in their genes they say were the sex in the womb is determined later so if a shortage of bucks in the area more bucks are born. I wonder if it is same type of thing survival for food is forcing them together

I was only home a few days last week from all summer, and without no apples on the tree up front I didnt see any tracks anywhere

There is a 6point that runs with a doe and 2 babies. They hang out and eat where we feed the turkeys and crows by the house. (Note I never hunt anything near the house. that is a safe haven for any and all game animals)

My feed areas in the back woods are getting destroyed. Dunno if they are lazy to forage or just hungry. lol


and yea we lost nearly all our apples on the 5 trees thanks to spring frost.

if the farmers pulled crops alraedy tho, they need something to put on their winter fat, and with it getting this cold last few nights will really push them to feed. how are the acorns?? a lot or a little??

In all the miles I've driven (a hell of a lot more then someone my age should have driven) I've never hit a deer. Of course this would be the year! >=(

Trying to find a place to hunt further up north this year though.. Friend has a sweet M14 and an Arisaka bolt action rifle that I really wanna go hunting with. Unsure on if I'd use a scope on it or just rock ironsights still. That bolt action is sooooo sweet though.
