Really? I thought the TSX was an RSX in a TL body? Because the TL has the VTEC V6 in it, so I'd always assumed the TSX did as well?
Guess that's what I get for assuming.

How much would it be to own an e39 m5? I would also opt for a 335 a few years older than a newer 328.

Uh.. an e46 m3 has no more room than a 328.
If you are comparing "options" between the two generations, you can get basically the same thing on both cars.
If you get an e46 m3, make sure it is a competition package car with premium/cold wthr and (if you want/need) nav. If you do that you will never regret getting the m3 over the 328.
Do not get an e36 m3. They are just not cool anymore.
Reliability, obviously the newer car will likely need less immediate maintenance but if you are diligent in your search you will be able to find a really nice m3.
I've got pretty extensive experience with both of these cars in question.. m3's and 328i/328xi and even 330i, etc.

Lol you should try and sit in the back seat of my 325ci. I'm 5'7" and when I'm driving there is literally 3 inches of space behind my seat. Ill have to make more midget amputee friends.

S2000 is a fine car, but if you're looking at BMWs and Cadillac's it's probably not your cup of tea.

****ing lol'ed.
OP I think in both the e46 M3 and in the 328xi you will have space issues with people behind you. Even my e46 325xi there is no space. If there is no one behind me then it's all good and I have plenty of space in the driver seat or passenger seat at 6'2" but if someone has to sit behind me they are ****ed. Regardless if you can get the e46 M3 at a good price and save whatever you can for proper maintenance I would go that route. Would you be getting the 328xi for the AWD? I mean I know a lot of people will say if you throw snows on your RWD you will be fine but if you are the type who likes to drive in 6" of snow or more of mountainy roads I don't think a set of snows will only do the trick.
