I haven't seen any other threads about this year's SPE here on Nation.

April 21 and 22 at Sudden Impact in IL. Anyone else going?

I would honestly try to save up and go to Phoenix, if it wasn't for SPE being on the same date.

You made a valid point when you said if we play Phoenix, Chicago and World Cup that we could take the series.

But SPE is a lot more affordable, closer, and just as fun in my opinion.

I've never been to SPE, but I've heard good things. I know it's mostly open play, but is there anything else I should expect?

There are all things pump at this event. It is one of the best I've been to.

There are:

Rec-ball fields
Hyperball fields
Woodsball fields
Airball fields
A Castle field

All of these fields are pretty much going at the same time and there is a ref on every field (or there was last year). Everyone plays stand up ball the whole time and I see a lot of friends that I don't get to see every weekend, as well as the ones I do see every weekend.

There are guys playing open class, stock class, with pump pistols, old school markers, new school markers, nelson valve markers, sheridan valve markers, Ion pumps, Mag pumps and everything far and in between.

Sunday is a pick up tournament, but I never play that. I always drive up Friday night and then go home Saturday night lol.

Sadly, I said on FB that I was going to this, but it is the same weekend as another paintball event my team are committed to, so I can't do.

Sounds great. There are eight of us coming down from Michigan. Greg from Valken told us it was the pump event to be at... So we're going.

Timmy is shooting...? He's got a SC feed for his S6, and not sure on the PGP.

I'm rocking a Phantom, ASP cocker threaded body, Redux feed, Sergi frame, ect ect ect. Good times.

Yodamann has videos from many SPE's of the past. Lots of different fields.
