Mini Reg Leak

Hey, hope someone can help.

I was playing this past Saturday and my the mini was shooting pretty good, but soft. I was chronoing around 260 with the back cap a little out past flush.

I hadn't played with the gun since getting a lighter bolt and dropping the reg pressure to around 160psi so I assumed it was too low of an operating pressure.

I bumped the pressure back up to where it was stock (200psi) and now the air just rushes out the silver key hole on the bottom of the reg. No matter how low the reg is turned, it wont reseal.

Looking on the faq, I've seen this:
Quote:
If your mini is leaking out of the large silver screw on the bottom of the regulator

This is a where your regulator will release pressure in case something should happen and the pressure inside of the regulator gets too high. This will prevent you from damaging your mini if you accidentally turn the pressure up too high. Check the gauge to make sure that the pressure is under 200 psi. If the pressure is fine, then you will need to tighten the screw a little bit at a time until the leaking stops.
Which doesn't seem to help, no matter where the pressure is at, it still rushes out the barrel. Is there anything else I can do, or is the reg shot?

Thanks,
Tyler

you can try dropping some oil into the regulator (NOT YOUR TANK) and air it up to get some oil flowing through there. Again, just try to adjust the input pressure through the regulator and turn your back cap 3/4 - 1 full turn out.

If this doesn't do anything there really isn't much you can do besides upgrading to the Relay or buying a new reg. I'd just get a Relay at that point though.

Can you go into more detail for me please? Bit of a noob here outside of basic maintenance.

Thanks,
Tyler

There's an oring between the lower air transfer tube and the regulator. There's also another where the upper and lower tuned connect. For the screws he's just talking about the set screws in the frame that secure the regulator in place.

Fixed it! Thanks a lot guys.

Directions for anyone with the same problem:

I had to take the adjustment scew out of the reg, drop the setscrew located on the bottom of the reg and twist the reg cap nearly off. After that I gassed it up, and slowly turned the reg cap back in until it began to pressurize, then backed it a quarter turn out. Once done I reinserted the adjustment screw and screwed it in until the dial read between 180-200 and bam! Back to normal .
