Solenoid Issue With Evil Minion 7...Ideas?
Alright guys...I've got a stumper! So I fire up my Minion, turn the eyes off, pull the trigger for the first time and the solenoid clicks. I pull the trigger after that and no clicking. Turn the gun off again - fire it back up - turn the eyes off - pull the trigger for the first time and get a solenoid click, but no more clicks after that. To narrow it down more, I have tried multiple fresh new duracells and energizers (tested all of them on my voltmeter to make sure too). Also, I have taken the solenoid apart and cleaned it up and there are no visible wire issues. Solenoid is plugged into the board solid and no amount of fiddling with the wires gets another click out of it. And lastly, the trigger is not continuously activating the microswitch - I promise! Is it the solenoid, the board, or something else? Any help is appreciated...any dye techs out there would be quite helpful as well. Thanks!

I think the switch is good...I'm got a few buddies with UL's so I'll work on doing some more testing this week when I get a chance. I get the microswitch click with every trigger pull...I messed around with that tonight too to make sure it was plugged in good and all. Any other ideas bro? Appreciate your help!

Try reseting the board to defaults. Try leaving power on but unplug and replug the noid and try trigger again.

I'll have to check on the board tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'm sitting stock right now (I will go through that tomorrow and update). I unplugged the noid while powered, plugged it back in and got a shot on the first trigger pull ONLY again. Do you by chance know what that means? Thanks for your help! Appreciate the quick responses guys...if anyone else has any input, I'll gladly take your advice!

hmm. try a force shot. hold the trigger down. may be time to service the noid.
edit: before you touch the noid, try a different board. they do weird things when not working right.

If unplugging the noid allowed another first shot it sounds like there is some residual voltage staying at the board keeping the noid activated. I am leaning towards the board because the noid shouldn't latch active.

That is what I was thinking as well. Is there anythying I can do with my board to fix it? I'd prefer a cheaper route than a new board...I'll be chatting with a buddy of mine that has a DM6 and I'll borrow his gun to do some checking on it. Thanks guys and any other ideas are welcomed.

Just got home and did a quick swap of my solenoid to my buddies board and my solenoid was working without a single hickup on his board. So obviously it is the board then...I'll be starting to work on that. Anyone got any other ideas on how I could remedy the board issue? I also plan to switch out the microswitch tomorrow and see if that does anything. Thanks guys!
