This has been on my mind quite a bit lately, you guys have any input? Ive been thinking quite a bit about taking a year off of school in order to save a down payment on an apartment and renting it out to pay the mortgage. If I were to do it id make sure I have a spot in the program I want in 2013 before taking the year off. Any of you bros do something like this, or know someone who has?

In addition, I'm planning on becoming a commercial real estate broker and this would serve as practical experience in my area of interest.

Yo Jordan - ambitious. I like it. But make sure you have it figured out well before jumping in. Nothing sucks more than a wasted gap year which you could have spent doing something productive. I know some buddies who have thought taking a year off would be sick, but ended up going door to door handing out flyers or some stupid ****.
