Lower profile hpr adapter?

Are there any shorter reg adapters for older angels? I just bough an a4 fly and am looking to change out the mini reg But don't want the reg sticking way far down. Did they make any that are shorter?

For that particular generation, I think you're out of luck. The LCD/IR3 generation had a few aftermarket options (KAPP, Eclipse and a couple others, I think), then for the 05 Speed and G7 there was the CP adapter. I don't think there were any aftermarket VRAs specifically for the LP generation. You could just use a shorter reg. The short-body Sidewinder works pretty well on the gun, aesthetically.

That's what I was considering. Was thinking short sidewinder or 2 litre. Thanks for the reply!

New ccm regs that are same length, roughly, as the mini reg. There may be four different milling designs and it does have a nice high side macro fitting. Coming soon!

Couldn't just about any machinest (hobby or professional) be able to tap more threads into the VA and then chop off the excess?

Yes, there's enough space to do that and save a small amount of height. The only constraining factor is the retaining bolt. Of course, then you have to find a machinist willing to take on such a small project for a reasonable price.

It's not the biggest issue. I just know I've read that the mini reg isn't exactly the most consistent. I run mid pressure on my tank which never seem to be an issue with the 06 speed I had. I guess I'll just keep it as is for now

For the price a shop would charge, you could buy the tap yourself and do it.. I know my shop always has multiple ASA thread taps and dies for screwed up ASA's
