Crack in epoxy on my tank
so like the tittle says my tank has a crack in the epoxy
(outer most clear coat of the tank) and i was wonering if it would still be ok to use.
Sorry for the size

i wouldnt risk it, bring it somewhere to get checked out, field, scuba shop..

Contact the manufacturer of your air system to see if they will help you out. If the crack does not go down into the fibers underneath the gel coat, then it should still be safe. You will want to at least get it visually inspected by a hydro test facility or the manufacturer to be sure.

When I used to rock climb, general rule of thumb was, if you had any doubts in your gear, discontinue use and replace the damaged/worn gear. Bottom line, if you don't feel safe using it, don't use it. If you take it to a shop and they tell you to use it, but still doesn't satisfy your doubts in the tank's integrity, don't use it. If it does, then go for it. At the end of the day, if something goes wrong, you're the one that's gonna have to deal with a potential failure.

Hmm...well I picked up a 50ci ninja tank last week with a small split..maybe 2 inches long...didn't think much of it...haven't aired it up yet...guess we will see
