I don't think that option will be up to NPPL?

You know they sell ProCaps and KEE paint at NPPL events right?

oh i know that...not arguing that point. but contributions and sponsors is income also.

i sure wouldn't keep it afloat if it was my league and i have to be in the negatives..

trust me im glad psp is alive. i love the league and the staff.

Have you ever taken into consideration that less than 1% of you know nothing about why they have done it but only realize that they did it for a reason. Paintball is a business and in business people win and lose and decisions even tough ones need to be made.

I'm sure if there's enough of a backlash they will rethink their decision and may allow Valken and Dye to sell paint.

It's almost as if PSP is some sort of evil corporation, exercising its right to control who can and can't sell goods at their events. OMG!

Not to worry, Valken will be ok. G.I. came along last year and undercut everyone, picked up all these teams with lucrative deals, and did just fine for themselves.

This year Valken is using the exact same tactics, picking up all these teams and offering better pricing to events so that their paint is used. Unfortunately they came into this a little late and will have to wait their turn.

I could be wrong when I say this but I don't believe that their are any pro teams in the PSP that are sponsored by valken that don't already have paint sponsorships through another company

Slow down. This is not a conspiracy to force you into buying what the PSP tells you to buy. The PSP made a decision to protect its future and in doing so protect you as well.

If I owned a manufacturing business and a sports league and the Chief of Operations from the sports league called me and said " We are catching a lot of flack about not letting a certain manufacturer sponsor the league." I would try to come up with some type of damage control to assist said COO. One of the things I might do is tell him to pass along the information that I too was locked out of sponsoring the league. Especially if I had a similar product, even one that I had no intention of actually selling there anyway. I'd hope that nobody realized that I didnt even sponsor my flagship team with this product, I let an already approved sponsor do that. But it would certainly help legitimize the situation to the unwashed masses. Yeah, I'd go with that.

It's a damn good thing that the ingrety of the people involved in a similar situation to the one described above is beyond question. I mean, if something similar was happining in real life and not my hypothetical situation, I'm glad to know that nobody in a similar position could concievably do something so underhanded. After all the folks in that position are above reproach.

This is the problem with a long off-season, all the couch riding economists and armchair CEO's have way too much time to ***** and moan. In a weeks time when the leagues make another decision we're either happy or unhappy with, the subject will change and this will be long forgotten. As for PSP losing teams because of this decision, lets be serious, we're to lazy to boycott anything and most tourney decisions are based on locale and dates for the majority of teams. Don't worry kiddies, spring is almost here and it's getting close to Galveston and for those not playing, the webcast will suffice.
