Etek 1
Would an etek 1 be a good gun to buy if I'm a first time player? If not what gun should I get ?

I mean it would be a nice gun but you have to be careful with electros because the triggers are a lot more sensitive than a cheap blowback and the safety is pretty much the on/off. Also you need a good hopper and a compressed air tank which will be more than a typical start up package. If your getting all the gear with it then you should be fine.

Well I found someone that's selling his for 175 with cp barrel and cp Asa. Would that be a good cop or should I just get an axe?

Although it is a little old, any of the eteks are great markers and rock solid. If you don't mind that it is a little older, I would just go with it. If you prefer new/newer, then get an axe/etek(3/4)/etha/pmr.

Yeah, that Etek deal you've got is a pretty good deal.
If you can't get that, I'd look at a Spyder Aggressor or one of the new Spyder Victors. Just my opinion, I love the Spyder platform as a beginner gun. Heck, I even break out one of my old Spyders once in a while if I want to play a different way.

I'd get a mini on here with a rotor and a 45/4500 tank.
Maybe a Deadly Wind Fiber but that's my setup.

If you're really a first time player, I'd suggest renting before buying anything. Gotta see if you at least like the sport before you start sinking money into it.
As mentioned above, eteks are great guns, but you may be able to find an etek 2 for around that price. If you played before and love it, you can't go wrong with an etek. I wouldn't recommend a mini or a spyder; minis are preferred by some and hated by others, spyders are generally just low end guns. As far as tank and hopper; rotors are good, and tank size is all about preference. 68/4500 is pretty standard; I'd start with that if you don't know what to go with.
