barrel gets scratched up by ion body

Did/does anybody have this problem when you put on/take off the barrel, the very back just in front of the threads gets scratched/worn out.

You probably don't have the front screw tightened all the way. If it's sticking up a little it will scratch against the barrel.

The screw, definitely... though I had some issues with some different bodies on the ions. Is this a stock or aftermarket body?

if it's an aftermarket body sometimes they just rub, it happens.

if you look into your gun breech without the barrel you can see the screw, tighten it as tight as possible, then loosen by like 1/8-1/4 of a turn

sometimes the anno on the barrel and the anno inside the breech create larger OD and ID respectively and the two rub against each other at points of contact. no big deal besides cosmectic appearance

mine rubbed despite the screw being in. Just the shape of the body was my logic, wasnt anything too serious.

is this just a case of bad hardware/frame manufacturing? i had the same problem on one of my ions as well, and i also can't seem to get the rear frame screw back in after putting a new stock board back into it.. would a different stock frame fix the issue? maybe new hardware?
