Our weapons pool is all jacked up. So I have to get the Armament LAR to come down and inspect their operations (repair/maintenance) and all. But we're just one BN that draws from them, out of around 1/3 of all units on base. So I wasn't really sure if I COULD actually get them inspected.
But, asked some NCOs for advice, and basically we came to the conclusion that the worst that happens is I'm a 1LT getting med dropped from the Army...not like I have an OER they can **** up. So I get slapped on the wrist and my unit stops getting ****ty weapons. Win/win.

Talking about the Enemies ****? That's pretty depressing/funny. I don't know who would do stuff like that.

it's different when you're on the outside looking in
i only know a few cats in this battalion. but some guys i've met there already are good by the looks of it. just got to show them there's more in the army than the stupid retards that are in charge.
i've deployed once in eight years. yes that's normal in canada. yes it's ****ing gay. yes i've sucked cock to go on other tours only to be dropped because i wouldn't swallow loads.

As much as I enjoy the brotherhood of the army, it's not worth the bull s*** you have to put up with if you end up in the wrong place. I add my army friends on facebook and before I leave I am going to say "keep in touch." Good enough for me

If they cared about you, they would be adding you to their Facebooks.

Same thing. I didn't say I send all the invites, I just add them. However, that wasn't the point. The point was limited time and freedom is not worth all of the friendship. Friends outside of the army may not have shared combat experiences with you and understand you as well, but you can still go out and have fun with them. Facebook may be able to help if you would like to talk to your friends who have shared that experience.

eh it also pays well and gives a faster tranisition if i do go into the air force doing a cushy job if i'm in opposed to coming in back off the civilian street.
days like today, make me think i should just get back in but go air force.

Now that's something I would consider. Same pay, easier work, and relaxed conditions. Not to mention better barracks if you live in them.
