My plan is to eventually make the switch to one of those down the road unless I change my mind and attempt ranger school.
At this point I'm really looking forward to OSUT. I don't want to sound cocky at all because I'm a fairly humble person, but I'm very confident about it.
I'm hoping to be in it for the long haul because I have a huge respect for service members and it's something I've wanted to do forever. It feels like a pretty cool way to live out a childhood dream at this point.
****ty as in the weather is ****ty. I lived in GA all my life. There's a slim window for good seasons and that's not one of them. Who knows though. Two Januarys ago, it snowed at Benning.
Oh, and OSUT is the most miserable torturous time of your life. You will actually come up depressed but with the new found knowledge of all the different ways you contemplated on killing someone, because that'll be the only thing that can get you through having to live with those **** tards and you'll lose respect for just exactly WHO can get a 11x contract. Pathetic. But keep your spirits up, cause ultimately, that's all you have. And mail. Mail = sanity.
