Running with your hand?

i see a lot of people running with there hand up by their face, i know its controversial but...maybe possible chance of it hitting your hand and getting a bounce? what do you guys think, i started to do it sort of.

A good team will let you know were everyone is so the point of looking down field if your going to d2 or snake or the 50 is irrelevant.

Players do this to shield their mask and in case they do take a hand hit a quick slide and your hit is gone.

hope this helps, you can get a bounce on your hand but when you are shooting evil or Redemption their is slim to no chance to get a bounce off your hand or anywhere other than a fat mans belly.

Waste of time... I've timed a kid that loves to do this and he actually took longer to get to his primary bunker with his hand held up vs not held up, because it restricted his running movement...

Same. Though I still throw an arm up and sort of point with my elbow where I'm going. I did once catch a ball between my forearm and bicep.

if you keep your head up and you can learn to look and avoid the streams of paint being shot at you ... then you wont have to worry about a ball hitting your mask and you wont need a hand there to help a ball bounce ... federov is one of many pro's absolutely amazing at watching the streams of paint coming at him and running around and even jumping over or sliding under them.

It probably doesn't decrease your chance of having paint break on your mask anymore than it does for the rest of your body.

^ pretty much this. I will cover like that if I'm about to run through a high lane or some times playing walk ons because cheap rental grade paint always bounces off my arm. Look at some Billy Bernachia vids and watch how he does when he sees paint coming at him. that's effective-ish
