I just bought the axe recently and have been shooting spectrum paint. I know it is horrible paint but its what I have, so I was wondering what type of paint shoots through the axe best. I have the stock barrel.

The best will be whatever paint is most consistent. The axe will shoot anything from super brittle tournament grade to junky white box. If you want accuracy then pay a little more for premium. I like evil, marbs, all star and gi 3-star.

What he said. The paint has much more to with how it shoots than the gun does, if that makes any sense. You generally get what you pay for, so if you have a choice between paying$40, $50, and $60 for paint, most likely the $60 paint is going to shoot the most accurately and consistently through whatever gun you're using. The axe will have no problem shooting even the highest grade stuff, so go for the best you can afford.

For weekly recball i like the $40-50 balls. If you can win money by a hit then only the good stuff.
