Do you use padded jersey/pants or separate pads?
What do you all prefer?
Using padded pants/jersey or using thinner pants/jersey but having elbow/knee pads underneath?
Also, is the padding in the pants/jersey worthwhile to use alone, or would you need pads anyway (seems pretty pointless to have both)?
thanks!

when i play i wear my eclipse pants or my empire pants...and the both have adequate knee padding/hip padding. personally i would prefer my jerseys dont have padding on the chest or shoulders...i do like the padding on the forearms that my eclipse jerseys have. i would take the chest/shoulder padding out but i would more than likely ruin the jersey! i do not feel that any other additional padding is necessary.

I wear a t shirt and elbow pads with empire LTZ pants. But in the summer I do pull out my old light proto pants. These things were made before they even thought about putting pads in pants. The knees are double layer canvas.

I love my paintball pants with built in knee pads. A must have for me now.
I don't use pads anywhere else.

In my opinion you can never have enough padding, especially in the knee area. Even if your pants have some cush to them, get those knee pads on. I also recommend arm pads. Arm bounces galore!
Also if you're all padded up you can stop worrying about hurting yourself and focus more on shooting people.

I wear an Army Combat Shirt with padded and reinforced elbows, which suits my purposes just fine. I don't usually need kneepads, but if you play on Astroturf or something similar, you probably want a nice pad so you can dive without tearing your jersey or skinning your knees and elbows. It all depends on your play style and what you play on.

Separate arm pads. Knee padding on my pants used to be enough, but i've gotta start wearing separate knee pads again.
Don't wear jerseys, padded or otherwise.

I wear sweat pants and JT pants with padding in the knees. Depends on how hot it is, I wear a sweat shirt alone or with a JT jersey with some padding on the arms. I get a lot of bounces.
I played once and the ref came up to me and ask what I was wearing becuase he couldn't believe all the bounces I was getting.

For practices I just wear my Etek pants with eclipse knee pads under em and for my upper body I have my empire tank top and eclipse elbow pads. For tournaments I wear the required empire pants and Pblyfe jersey with the same padding under.

Seperate arm and knee pads regardless of the padding on my jersey.

Eclipse forearm/knees pads, ALWAYS. Then either JT or Empire pants that have some knee padding built in.
I like being protected.

No padding whatsoever. I wear old Raven pants that have a reinforced crotch, and that's it. Other than that, some shorts, t-shirt, and jersey.

Empire pants and jersey, both are padded, but additional knee protection is more important to me. I don't go down hard on my elbows that often, but I do on my knees all the time. The jersey has some padding in the elbows and fore arms area which is usually enough.

The padding for me protects the ol' joints. Especially in rec, scenario and woods balls. Tripping on a root, log or rock and landing on the same results in less injury and pain. If I am going down I usually try to adjust my body position for the least amount of impact because my hands are keeping my gun up and out of the way. Some folks put their hands out either dropping their gun or using it as a cushion between them and the ground. Not a good idea and extremely hard on the equipment. In speedball I recommend the extra pads if you play snake and dive a lot. Otherwise the padding isn't necessary as the majority of hits happen on the gun/hopper or goggles. At least that's my opinion - to each their own for whatever reasons.

I usually wear both. Safety is number 1. Besides if your wearing more padding the chances of bounces are higher and your not as afraid of getting hit. If you arent scared of being hit, you tend to be more aggressive when you play. My thoughts, but hell what do I know.
