We are opening the Military GDTs with the understanding that all PbNation rules apply to each thread/post within this section and that all rules being broken will be reported.

Yes.. you heard it here... standards are coming back. Why? Because we don't need to fill all those platoons with troops anymore so we can afford to fill them with quality troops who are unlikely to be going into harms way. Have no fear though... as soon as we get back to shooting at some other country we are sure to open the flood gates for all the retards to come back and swell the ranks.

Officer numbers aren't being scaled back at the entry level all that much. And the screening process is still ****ty. West Point, OCS, ROTC doesn't matter. I can give you examples of each that I personally know where integrity, Army Value and moral/ethical/legal violations have occurred and they are still commissioning (from each source).

Once you hit BOLC B though things are stiffening up (one step at a time I guess...). GOMAR = 365 in the Army and you're out (that's if a board isn't meeting before hand).

APFT failures are being kicked out left and right. Medical issues are being dropped (Which is retarded...cause I know guys who are superb officers, who just can't do 11A training, who are being boarded instead of branch transferrred, but **** bags stay in).

But yeah. LTs now have to work to make O2. O2's have to work to get O3 and so on. You will see a lot less O3s in my year group at the MCCC

IED went off on Tampa today just south of Taji's Gunners Gate.. the same gate we went out of ~2 hours prior to hearing the report over battalion net. Hit some IA, probably a humvee, did damage but no casualties.

Either our crew systems did the job and blocked the signal (don't know the det method yet..) or they were trying to just hit IA..

Most the IEDs around here just barely damage our MRAPS out here, except for of course that EFP that hit another patrol and killed a guy, 2 others in Germany. Mostly just harassment fire and weak *** IEDs on USF (some exceptions obviously..)

Don't know if you guys know or I posted about it already but a few weeks ago there were 2 RPG attacks in Ramadi, dudes out there returned fire and killed 2 of 3 guys, I THINK with .50 cal but not sure.

We have been hearing more about/ preparing for garrison over the last couple months than we ever heard/ prepared for Iraq.... I wish I was kidding.

They blew up a market place here the other day... then hit the first responders... all Iraqi on Iraqi... I think it's just them starting back up the secretarian stuff because they know we aren't going to do **** about it anymore.
